The 30th annual Gateway to the Americas Cup is now underway in Orlando, Fla., bringing industry professionals from across the globe to compete in the coveted design competition.
From June 3 to 7 designers will be given five timed tasks of varying guidelines to complete over the course of the weekend. The competition awards winners more than $10,000 in scholarships and prize money.

TASK 1 : Inspired by Nature
- TIME: 2 hours
- First hour can be assisted: no fresh materials
- Second hour is competitor only: flowers, foliage and plants are permitted at this point
- SURPRISE PACKAGE: All materials provided
- Little to all product can be used in the design
- HEIGHT RESTRICTION: 7 feet/2.13 meters
