This show is the real highlight of the year for many people and they come in their thousands to be amazed and inspired, including King Charles and other members of the Royal Family.
This year’s show lived up to expectations and the Flora team (President & Creative Director Jules Lewis Gibson and Editor Nina Tucknott) enjoyed a florally immersive day during Press Day on Monday 20 May 2024. The sun was beating down all day and the bees buzzed around the whole place giving their seal of approval!
The Great Pavilion was filled to bursting with flowers and plants and along Main Avenue, the Show Gardens enthralled not just the press but the invited celebrities too. The ever popular House Plant Studios drew capacity crowds as everyone has finally realised the benefits of surrounding oneself with green things!
Floristry is something that we are all interested in and the judged competition this year did not disappoint. A total of ten floral designers worked their magic in the Great Pavilion under the title of ‘Floral Creations’ and five lucky ladies clinched the much coveted Gold Medal.
