The spectacular tulip fields near Sandringham have enjoyed another record-breaking season, drawing thousands of visitors and generating major support for local charity care services. The annual “Tulips for Tapping” event, organised in partnership with The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House, welcomed more than 40,000 visitors to the vibrant floral display across 20 acres of Norfolk countryside.
Featuring more than nine million tulips in bloom, the attraction has become one of the UK’s most talked-about spring flower events and a growing tourism highlight for Norfolk floriculture. Organisers confirmed the 2026 event raised more than £580,000 for hospice care, making it the most successful year to date.
The tulip fields, cultivated by local grower Mark Eves and the team at Norfolk Tulips, have gained international attention for their colourful displays and social media popularity. Previous years have seen tickets sell out within hours as visitors travel from across the UK to experience the stunning floral attraction.
The continued success of the Norfolk tulip fields highlights the increasing popularity of flower tourism in the UK while showcasing the important connection between floriculture, community fundraising and rural tourism.
