A renowned North Wales nursery is expanding its commitment to horticulture with the launch of a new flower show designed to showcase specialist growers and inspire plant enthusiasts from across the UK.

Dibleys Nurseries, based near Ruthin, Denbighshire, will host the inaugural Dibleys Flower Show at Llanbenwch on Aug. 1. The event is being organised in partnership with the Nursery Exhibitors Organisation (NEO) and will feature specialist nurseries, plant displays and opportunities for visitors to meet growers from around the country.

According to Dibleys, the show was created to help fill a gap in the regional horticultural calendar following the loss of several major flower shows, including the absence of RHS Flower Show Tatton Park from the 2026 schedule.

The family-run nursery is well known throughout the horticultural industry for its expertise in streptocarpus, begonias and other houseplants. Founded in 1976, the business has earned more than 200 RHS Gold Medals and has become one of the UK’s most respected specialist growers.

Several specialist nurseries have already confirmed their participation, with additional exhibitors expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Organisers say the event will provide visitors with access to a diverse range of British-grown plants while supporting independent nurseries and horticultural businesses.

Admission to the flower show will be free, although visitors will be invited to make a voluntary £3 donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. The event is expected to attract gardeners, collectors and plant enthusiasts eager to discover new varieties and connect directly with expert growers.
