The annual photography competition of the UK Floristry Judges Guild had a theme this year of ‘Lazy Days of Summer’ and competitors were invited to create a design to be carried at a wedding.
They were inundated with entries making it very tough for the judges to choose their favourites, but they eventually got there and picked four worthy winners.
The top honour went to Rachel Kennedy who clinched Silver Gilt for her delightful hanging bouquet in delicate pink shades so huge congratulations to her.
Many of you will remember that we featured Rachel of Acacia Creative Studio in our Autumn 2024 issue; ‘The Road to Chelsea’, so you will know that she is a very experienced and talented florist, and truly deserves this latest accolade.
There were also three Silver awards; for Ashley Edwards for her striking fan shaped bouquet, for Sandra Gilbert for her pretty ring-bearing book and for Suzanne Randell for her cheerful summery circle.
What fabulous designs they all created! We cannot wait for next year’s competition when there will undoubtedly be more fabulous floral excellence…
